Partner Responsibilities
To ensure interns are well supported, ministry partners provide the following structural support.
The Five
What A Ministry Partner Provides

Food & Accommodation
Clean housing and meals, often with a host family, a shared flat or an annexe through a local church member.

Expenses
Reimburse reasonable travel for local placement work, cluster meetings and conferences.

Stipend / Allowance
Interns are encouraged to raise a personal allowance, though some placements choose to provide a direct stipend.

A Line Manager
A supervisor who meets the intern weekly or fortnightly. KAGN provides a one-day training session to equip them.

A Mentor
A dedicated individual, separate from the line manager, who invests in the intern as a person and prays with them.

Two Roles, Two People
Why The Line Manager And The Mentor Are Not The Same Person
KAGN provides a one-day training session to equip the Line Manager, so nobody is asked to supervise an intern without being shown what that means.
The Mentor is deliberately a different person. A line manager reviews the work; a mentor invests in the person and prays with them, and one human being is rarely able to do both well for the same intern.
